FAQ
We regularly receive queries about the possibilities for the rental of sanitation facilities. Below you will find a summary of the most frequently asked questions, and the answers to them. Should you have a question that you do not see in this list, please feel free to contact us. Our staff are always happy to answer your questions.
Question : How are the trucks and units delivered?
Answer : The trucks are delivered by Jeep. Depending on the agreement, the driver will place the truck, make sure it is level, and connect the truck to the facilities on site. The units are delivered by freight truck. Depending on the agreement, the driver will place the unit, make sure it is level, and connect the unit to the facilities on site.
Question : Is a permit needed for the placement of a truck or unit?
Answer : Yes, in most cases a permit is needed. You are required to contact the respective authority yourself for the application for a permit. A permit is almost always required by the local council for the temporary placement of the truck or unit and for the connection to sewage.
Question : Where do the trucks and units need to be connected?
Answer : There is a product sheet available for each product. In this product sheet you can see how the product should be connected to the water supply, the drainage system and electricity. You can see and download the product sheets on our website.
Question : What if there is no water supply or drainage system present at the location?
Answer : A drainage system is required for nearly all of our products. By placing temporary facilities, we can take care of this for you at every desired location, at an additional cost.
Question : What do I need to do upon delivery and retrieval of the products?
Answer : When the products are delivered the contact person on the agreement needs to be present at the location. In agreement with the driver, the products are placed according to the contract, and the products are transferred to the renter.
Question : What requirements does the location for the placement of the products need to meet?
Answer : The location must be suitable for the placement of the product you have ordered. By means of the product sheets you can determine what is applicable to your situation. If there is any doubt as to the clarity of this, it is best if you inform us of this. This is in order to avoid extra hours of waiting at the placement.
Question : Can the trucks and units be connected to a tent?
Answer : Various trucks and units can be connected to a tent. Tent coverings are available for this, at an additional cost. Ask one of our staff if a tent covering is available for the product you have chosen.
Question : What happens if the products are returned in an unclean state after rental?
Answer : You can always choose to return the products unclean. This means that extra cleaning costs will be charged. This also applies in the case of visitors to your event leaving graffiti on the products.
Question : What if there is damage done to the products?
Answer : Damages and losses should be reported immediately to Van Overbeek, and will be charged to the renter on the basis of a post calculation. See our general terms and conditions for this.
Question :What should I do in the event of a blockage?
Answer :Van Overbeek will not come to unblock blocked toilets. The facilities should be maintained by the renter during the event. This also includes keeping the toilets clean and keeping them functioning, provided this is explicitly stated in the contract.
